Before the journey begins.
Can I download Balloonly yet?
Balloonly is being developed as a native iPhone app. There is no public App Store download or confirmed release date yet. This website introduces the idea.
How does a note become a chat?
Here is the plan: a finder picks up a landed balloon in person and can reply to its note. The sender then decides whether to start a chat.
Do I really have to walk to the balloon?
Yes, that is part of the idea. You can discover a balloon nearby, but its note should only become readable when you get close enough to collect it. Your exact location is not intended to be shown to other people.
How long does a balloon fly?
Flight time is intended to emerge from a helium simulation: size, fill level, weather and material affect buoyancy, flight and landing. A short flight or a burst balloon is also part of a plausible model. A journey lasting several days is not guaranteed.
Can I report something or share feedback?
Send us an email. For a bug, include the app version, your iOS version and the steps that cause it. Remove personal messages and precise location data from screenshots.
